AskmyGP for online messages is available 24/7.
If you message us during working hours we will usually respond within one hour. AskmyGP messages sent when we are closed will be responded to the next working day. However, please do not use this service outside normal hours for urgent problems.
Our GPs now manage their own face to face appointments (available by phoning the practice or through AskmyGP online messaging) and these appointments are available throughout the above opening hours.
We have telephone or face to face appointments available with GPs and health care assistants (for blood samples) from 7.30 am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and early evening GP appointments up to 7pm on Mondays.
Please see our GP Timetable for details of when individual GPs are working.
Our practice nurses and health care assistants are available every day and appointments can be made by phone or online using Patient Access.
Protected Learning Time
This is an initiative to enable practices across Morecambe Bay to have protected time for learning and training. These sessions occur about once every 6 weeks and the practice is closed from 1pm until the following morning.
When the surgery is closed, NHS 111 will provide urgent medical cover. We aim to inform patients in advance of the closure dates and the current dates are listed below:
Thursday 14th March 2019
Further dates to follow
This takes over care for our patients after 6.30pm and before 8am Monday to Friday; and all day at weekends and on bank holidays.
For medical attention when the practice is closed please ring the NHS Out of Hours Service 111
The out of hours service is usually very busy so please only use this service if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery reopens.
We value your feedback about our services. Please tell us what your think by completing a very short survey.
