To contact a doctor when the surgery is closed please ring 111  (calls are free from landlines and mobiles).

The service is generally busy, so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the Practice re-opens.

The out-of-hours service is provided by Cumbria Health on Call (CHOC) and their local treatment centres are based at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal and Furness General Hospital in Barrow.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999.

Severe chest pain, severe shortness of breath or a suspected stroke constitute an emergency.

Not sure whether to call an ambulance click here.

Training Closures

Protected Learning Time

This is an initiative to enable practices across Morecambe Bay to have protected time for learning and training. These sessions occur about once every 6 weeks and the practice is closed from 1pm until the following morning.

When the surgery is closed NHS 111 and CHOC will provide urgent medical cover. We aim to inform patients in advance of the closure dates and the current dates are listed below:

Wednesday 13th February 2019

Thursday 14th March 2019
