OUT OF HOURS SERVICE
To contact a doctor when the surgery is closed please ring 111 (calls are free from landlines and mobiles).
The service is generally busy, so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the Practice re-opens.
The out-of-hours service is provided by Cumbria Health on Call (CHOC) and their local treatment centres are based at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal and Furness General Hospital in Barrow.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999.
Severe chest pain, severe shortness of breath or a suspected stroke constitute an emergency.
See our What to do in an Emengency page if you are not sure whether to call an ambulance.
If you require general medical advice you can also visit the NHS 111 website.
