Mask Policy Update
You are no longer required to wear a mask in the surgery or in consultations. There are however a couple of exceptions to this: Some of our clinicians are more vulnerable and therefore if you are asked by a clinician to wear a mask, please comply. If you have a cough or respiratory illness, then please wear a mask both in the waiting room and during a consultation.
Car parking at our Grange surgery
From Tuesday 21st June, the car park at our surgery in Grange will be monitored by the Parkingeye Car Park Management Service. When visiting the surgery for an appointment from this date, you will need to record your car registration number on one of the Parkingeye machines in the waiting room area.
*PLEASE NOTE* You do not need to input your registration if you are going to the pharmacy, or coming to reception to collect/drop-off documentation/sample pots etc. Our staff will be on hand to assist you if you are unsure.
Digital NHS COVID Pass available to children aged 12 to 15
This is a reminder that children can get an NHS Login in order to generate a digital COVID Pass via the NHS App or nhs.uk without the need to contact general practice.
The NHS COVID Pass service for 12- to 15-year-olds went live in early February, and it is accessible via nhs.uk for those aged 12 and over, and the NHS App for those aged 13 and over. In addition to providing access to the NHS COVID Pass, the NHS App will allow 13- to 15-year-olds to access other non-personalised services such as Health A-Z, organ donation and 111 online.
Children can access their digital NHS COVID Pass without needing to undergo a Gillick competency assessment with a medical professional. However, the NHS App will withhold children’s other medical data unless an assessment has been undertaken. Patients can find out more on the NHS website or by ringing 119
Our branch surgery in Flookburgh is now open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday all day and Wednesday and Friday mornings. It is fully staffed and open for appointments and enquiries. Flookburgh surgery is located at Station Road, Flookburgh LA11 7JY and is fully accessible to wheelchairs. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate motorised scooters at this site. If you need to attend the practice on your scooter, please go to the Health Centre in Grange-over-Sands.
This continues to be a worrying time for all of us. Please protect yourself and others (including your GP practice team) by following the latest Government advice: GOV.uk - Coronavirus. If you think you are developing symptoms or want to arrange a Covid19 swab please access the NHS website.

Dissent from secondary use of patient identifiable data
The national data opt-out was introduced on 25 May 2018, enabling patients to opt out from the use of their data for research or planning purposes, in line with the recommendations of the National Data Guardian in her Review of Data Security, Consent and Opt-Outs.
Patients can view or change their national data opt-out choice at any time by using the online service at the National data opt-out website or by calling 0300 3035678. You can also download a Register your Type 1 Opt-out preference form or collect a form from the surgery to complete.
By 30 September 2021 all health and care organisations are required to be compliant with the national data opt-out policy.
